Should I release my female betta if my male betta only have little bubbles? Not rlly a bubble nest.

  • TheBarkingFrog said:

nope, the nest should be thick with bubbles first. just cause there are bubbles dosent mean they are ready, there are signs when they are ready.

  • TheBarkingFrog said:

nope, that’s the male, he doesn’t eat the eggs it’s the female that eats them, he takes them up to the bubble nest

  • jusssa22 said:

The male betta fish isnt eating the eggs (he will only do this if they are bad) he is just gathering them to put in the bubble nest

if my male betta isnt flaring at the female as much does this indicate they are preparing or ready to breed?

do male betta fish make bubble nests when they are ready to breed? I am trying to breed mine but he isnt making any bubble nests. does anyone know why? How deep does the water need to be for him to
    start?

  • stravga said:

woh… i put the female Betta in and they are breeding! he keeps putting the eggs upto the water surface near where the cup is afloat in the tank. Necer done this before, cant wait to see how it all goes!!
