Tail operation of my robotic fish, made as part of my mechatronics degree. There are four links in the tail, each powered by a servo motor. A microcontroller keeps them in time to form an artificial sine wave. Nylon string forms ‘tendons’.

I just got a betta fish yesterday from walmart. Right now I only have a 1 gallon tank with rocks in the bottom, no heater or filter, or plants. It is doing better than it was in the little cup in came in. However, I’m sure it needs more. I was just wondering what other people did for their betta fish?

A none cycled tank is bad for fish as the ammonia will kill them. So what if its 70 gallons with one Betta….?

I know that your not suppose to put betta fish with others BUT while cleaning his tank today i put him in with my gold fish/tropical fish. He didnt really do anything, do u think that it is ok? Thanks
Oddly enough, the only thing I have a problem with is that you mixed goldfish with tropical fish. Bettas can get along with most other fish as they can survive in a wide range of waters parameters. Its mixing tropical (warm water) fish with goldfish (cold water) that …
