A more in-depth video of Crimson, my Beta Fish

My pet betta fish named Roger…but my sister calls him Lloyd. We need more aquarium decorations for him, but our local pet stores have really bad ones. Obviously, my favorite decorations at the moment are Spongebob’s Pineapple, and Squidward’s Easter Island Head. Need more fake plants and maybe a treasure chest or sunken ship. Definitely more fake plants though. If you’re going to comment about live plants, they’re messy, and require more frequent water changes…something I just don’t want to invest my time into.

If you look at his top fin there is a little “curl” or “hook”… I thought it was unique and different so I decided to name him Captain Hook aka Cappy or Hook… Here is the other one. www.youtube.com

i took this video a while back of my two Betta fish breeding.

anyone know what might be wrong with her? I am not feeding her blood worms instead and she eats those a lot better, but her fin is still stuck like that. But this is Tael, she was the boss of my betta female colony before this happened and I had to remove her so she could rehabilitate in peace.

A brief look at my fish room where I house my plakats. I plan to build a betta barrack for my males and future fry. The females live in a ten gallon tank, and love to eat! Also shown is my spawning tank that I set up, as well as a pair just about ready to breed. The jars that I have some males in are 3/4 gallon and get small water changes daily and a complete change every week.

if you want your betta fish have companion in the tank, find a fish that is the same to its size and has a short tail like mollyfish. avoid angel fish, guppy w/ long tail, male betta(female betta has a 50% chance not to kill by male) or any fish that has a long tail or fins. because your betta might believe its an enemy.
