I have a 30l Biorb but I can’t seem to get the bubble tube out to clean out the filter or replace the air stones.
It doesn’t matter how much I twist (my partner has even had a go) but it doesn’t seem to budge in the slightest.
The sponge in the filter is disgusting but I can’t get to it. The water quality is still good, but I want to clean it out as best I can as soon as possible.
Any ideas?

I am battling with Reef One about their BiOrb and their suitability for Tropical fish. They have told me that Pandacorys and Plecs are not suitable for this tank yet the pet stores and research I have done on the net say it will be okay.
The filter system seems ineffective despite frequent changes. I love my fish and just want the best for them. Could do with some real advice…

My Marine biorb with 2 false percula clownfish, a chocolate chip starfish, a cleaner shrimp and 15 lbs of live rock, the water is crystal clear thanks to it. Note: the rocks in the front aren't real, the real live rock is the yellow one in the back.

I just bought a baby BiOrb and the instructions says not to put the ceramic media on top of the filter body but it looks crap with nothing on top. Does anyone have one that can help?
Ceramic media is the stones/gravel at the bottom.
