I found some pretty cool stones, and I want to use them in my cichlid aquarium. They’re not porous, they’re slabs of rock.
Right now I have them soaking in boiling water, and a high concentration of aquarium salt.
Will they be safe in my aquarium after this?
I expect the hot water and salt to kill any microorganisms that may hard my fish.
I just hate paying for a dumb rock at the store. How do they prepare their rocks to be aquarium safe?

I would like something that will let me know the PH, ammonia/nitrites/nitrates, temperature and water level of my aquariums. Does anyone know of an aquarium controller that can simulate sunrise, sunset, moon cycles, waves, and that kind of thing?
Thanks!

I’d like to get an aquiarium that’s good looking, but not huge because I’m just starting. What do I need to know? What fish are good to get and which ones are bad? How do you clean the tank? Thanks

I prefer a bigger pet fish as opposed to smaller ones as i feel they are more of a ‘pet’ and more personal. They have their own character and personality which can sometimes be hard to spot with the much smaller fish! There are several types of big fish available in the market such as the little sharks, big goldfish, plecos, discus fish and more.
